Moving away from thumbnails means incessant scrolling to get through any list of pictures/profiles - therefore Im now using this app much less often and not to its fullest extent. Please consider going back to thumbnails - the usability has suffered immensely.
Well Apple helped GROWLr take a step backwards with the latest Oct 2016 update by removing the Blog section of the App. This was one of the main reasons I used the App. The Growlr app is now standard and the ratings along with usage has went down. Goodbye Growlr, you had a good run.
Dont care for the new user interface/main profile display and I dont like that the blogs were dropped.
Where did the blogs go? Why does the new singles filter show men in Seattle when Im on the other side of the country? Do you really appreciate your users? Tell us something.
First off, Im a pro member...which Ill be cancelling due to several factors. 1. Removal of blogs unceremoniously, without warning. 2. The PRO upgrade page still references the blog feature 3. The new profile is a bit clunkier than before 4. The app has "service unavailable" outages frequently for me 5. Id like an option to unlock specific photos for users...rather than an all or nothing 6. The cost for the app has gone up without really feeling an increase of value lately...7. To be honest, Id love a desktop companion site.
Great new features. Blogs are gone, but thats not really a big deal.
Good app. Lots of good features. A few flaws, such as the clear button on messages which often gets pushed to clear one message and then all are lost. BAD programming! A confirmation request "do you really want to clear ALL messages?"would be smart and intuitive. Also, the ads sometime get stuck and wont close which is very annoying. Getting better, but still lots of room for improvement.
Got billed for the pro version but still dont have it! And no way to get ahold of anyone!
As a Pro Member, my interest was in the blogs and why I kept a paid membership. The blog feature was dropped without any advanced notice. I miss being able to connect with others through the blog feature.
I was just on the verge of purchasing the pro membership, when I was forced to an upgrade, that also got rid of the blog option, freedom of speech? Apparently does not exist on this app! If an app can enforce selective free speech options, Im very much reminded of what my great grandparents experienced in the 1930s. When the media exercises "their free speech" protections at the cost of the people, then the "people" should, while they still have a voice boycott the so called "guardians" of freedom!!! Please add my name to those that are going to migrate back to Craigslist and/or possibly "Grindr" HP!
Blogs are gone?!?!?! That was one of my favorite features. The "Most Blogs" award is still listed under galleries which adds to frustration! Have already cancelled my renewal. Good luck Growlr. Hope it all works out for ya.
Fun friendly app. Highly recommend.
Dont let these trolls ruin the app! They complain but still use the App daily. Change is good.. the blogs were unnecessary. I love what you guys have done and as a paying Pro-member i say... keep up the good work!
The only gay app I use - and I love how it only gets better!
Love it :-) Thanks for the only app that connects normal Woofy guys
I miss the blogs feature, but the app itself still has some great guys on it, and really connects to the bear community.
Really great opportunity to meet local guys with similar interests, and not always for hook-ups. I’ve met great friends using the app, and regular updates keep improving Growlr to make it increasingly indispensable! Definitely worth upgrading to Pro for additional features and removing somewhat annoying banner ads.
Still a great app. Every app has itss ups and downs with updates, and people seem to love to complain when theres change. I never used to blog, so I dont miss it. Saved searches are also a great addition. Ive had this app since almost the beginning, and have always enjoyed it, and they have the friendliest staff to help you. Overall, its a great dating app.
I travel for work and as we all know bars have been on the decline for years. This is a great way to meet folks and find out info on the city Im in. My travels would be way more boring without it!
