Just took my money without my permission. Do not get!

With so many choices in apps in the App Store. I have found that GROWLr really stands out! I get a lot of functionality for my dollar! Even if I chose to use it for free you still have a tremendous amount of functionality. They guys at GROWLr have done a great job and work hard to bring this app to the bear community! Great app and I expect even better updates! Woof!

Dont care for the new single view on the local screen. What happened to the thumbnails?

Theres an advert in your face every 2 seconds! Anything of value, even Touch ID or viewing photos, require paying for Pro -- which isnt cheap or worth it! Not optimised for iOS 9, either. Just gays taking advantage of other gays for money. Also, lots of non-bears looking for non-bears and shaming actual bears.

Youll love this app if youre looking for guys whose relationship status is Partnered, Triad, Seeing Someone, In a Relationship, Engaged, or Married. But if youre looking for guys who are single, theyre in the extreme minority on this app. There are also a lot of very antisocial and disturbed people who wont take no for an answer and will harass you, and eventually youll run out of blocks because these nuts like to keep creating new accounts when you block them. Last but not least, the ads are more intrusive than any of the other gay dating apps Ive used.

Guys on here are really nice and very open, unlike other apps. However the app is slow, full of pop ups and ads. The only way to get rid of them is to buy a paid subscription. The problem is, thats the only bonus you get with a subscription, no ads. Try giving something extra, maybe wed concourse it then...

Rather new to using Growlr but so far so good. Easy to communicate with locals and also easy enough to just chat or arrange to meet to get to know each other. I dont use the paid features so I cant rate them.

You will get twenty Shouts a day from idiots spamming everything from massages too bad businesses to hookups. To turn them off you have to go to the website. This is obnoxious. NOBODY wants a million massage offers every single day.

we should not have to retype a message when there is a temp service outage. show the message as unsent or at least save the message in the refresh so it can be re-sent w/o having to be re-typed (like every other app everywhere).

Sometimes the guys are great sometimes not. I think everyone should be required to have a face pic.

Customer service is neither. Useful for keeping up with a few friends. So frustrating. How about the ability to save filter criteria or searches? Not to mention opting out of being flashed. Who f$$89ing thought of that? Update. You can now opt out of being flashed. Hooray. But unless you pay you have to watch a mandatory 15 second add when you try to respond to messages . Complete crap Update: I ask for filtered search function independent of geography. This was the response: Because of the structure of the application, this option is not possible.

Such a better app than a grinder or scruff. Way less scammers and spammers.

This site is ok. Some of the bears are great! But the distance is a bit weird since you cant control that. And you cant change the sound settings. But other than that it is fine. The galleries of various hot guys around the world is confusing why put that there?

I love Growlr and have supported it in the past by becoming a pro member a couple of times. This is the only "gay-dating" app that I use. I love it. Its so simple, even a straight man can use it. I love seeing whos out there and talking to new people. There are cons to this app though. Like others have stated, it feels dated. Dont get me wrong, I love it, just wish it would have an updated look and feel. Also, messages sometimes tend to get lost. Even being a pro member, the app states that Growlr service is unavailable. Like really? That is so annoying. Others say the ads are annoying, which are, unless youre a pro member, but they dont bother me much. Ads are 5 secs. Others stated they feel Coley is being greedy and he uses Grolwr money for "fancy vacations" and what not. I hope this isnt true. Please update the app and better service. I love it, just wish it was better.

I dont know what the problem is, but this app freezes all the time. It seems to happen when it gets too busy downloading ads and can last 10-20 seconds. This is getting old REAL quick, as there are too many other free apps that actually work right.

So I tried it, got a lot of spam and just didnt like the overall experience of it. Ive since then deleted my account and have no intentions of using it ever again
