This app is fine if all you want to do is find a bear from your phone. But its 2016, and were all on several devices during the day, and the expectation is that we can continue our conversations on whatever device we are on. Sometimes Im on my phone, sometimes my iPad and sometimes Im on my laptop. How come I have to pick up my phone and start thumb-typing when I want to talk to someone on Growlr? I give this company $19.99 every few months for a subscription. Instead of just pocketing it, they might want to put some of the money back into R&D before everyone leaves for Scruff. At the VERY least, give us an iPad version like every other dating app has done. They claimed to add "ipad support" in version 7, but no, they didnt. On my iPad, I still have to look at the app sideways in a tiny window.
Update:
Now, YEARS later, we are in version 10. For this latest version, here is what GROWLr developers offer is as their "exciting new changes".
-cleaner profiles (?)
-new categories to describe who you are
-new preset searches
Good grief. All of these are minor improvements at best. Did you really have that many complaints about "messy profiles"? Or categories? As a developer, I can tell you: it took an single click to add new categories. Please dont brag about it as an improvement. How about the ability to use Force Touch on the iPhone, a feature that every other app assimilated within a month of Force Touch being released. Or Apple Watch support? Or basic iPad support? Good grief.
